2025 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame | "Unleashing the Legends"
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony is the most prestigious night in music. For the 2025 event, Disney+ needed a promotional campaign that felt both historical and contemporary. The objective was to generate massive hype for the live stream by showcasing the eclectic mix of inductees—from Outkast and Salt-N-Pepa to The White Stripes and Soundgarden—positioning the show as a must-watch cultural event.
The Challenge
Rock & Roll is often associated with the past, but the 2025 class is incredibly diverse, spanning hip-hop, punk, and grunge. The challenge was to create a visual identity that felt cohesive across these different genres while maintaining the "rebellious" spirit of the Hall of Fame.
The Solution:
"The Analog Pulse"
We developed a creative framework called "The Analog Pulse," utilizing a collage-style aesthetic that mimics the feeling of a music fan’s bedroom wall. By mixing archival polaroids, torn paper textures, and hand-drawn elements with high-definition concert footage, we bridged the gap between the legends’ roots and their Hall of Fame moment.
Visual Strategy
Mixed-Media Collage: We used a "scrapbook" layout for the inductee reveals. This tactile approach—complete with digital tape and torn edges—evokes the feeling of a zine or a classic rock poster, making the history feel "lived-in" and authentic.
Aggressive Motion Design: The trailer features rapid-fire transitions and "film burn" overlays that sync with the drum hits and guitar riffs. This high-energy pacing ensures the viewer is hooked from the first second.
